Genetic Assimilation.

In this world, beings known as Protohumans exist. They are genetically modified humans who have been going through a treatment at a very young age to obtain their abilities. Grimm was a Protohuman who had no obvious ability but one day as he walked home, he was attacked by something that was completely illogical. After he got injured by that Illogicsl being, he was tossed into a dumpster to succumb to his fate. But at the last moments before he took his last breath, his ability awakened and then from that point, his life began to change. Grimm begins to understand that the world he lives in has supernatural creatures existing within it
