The Devil's Door

Willow has never walked through a door. His grandmother made sure of that—raising him in a world without them, stripping doors from his home, his school, even his car. He’s always thought it was paranoia. Until the doors start following him. Dragged into the Doorway—a hidden passage connecting infinite worlds—Willow discovers the truth. Doormen travel between worlds using powerful gems, while Guides—brilliant beings bound to them—exist as living tools. Sixteen years ago, Willow’s parents vanished while imprisoning a legendary traitor known as the Gemini. Now, Willow may be the only one who can undo what they started. To free his parents, he must join the Doormen Institute and compete for a chance at the Twelve Trials—deadly quests across the most dangerous worlds, where only one apprentice wins the power to open any door… even the ones meant to stay sealed. But Willow has a fatal disadvantage: he doesn’t have a Guide. Until a voice appears in his mind. And the girl he’s loved for years reveals the truth. She isn’t just his best friend. She’s his Guide. Bound to him. Controlled by him. Enslaved. Now Willow faces an impossible choice: win the Trials and save his parents, or break the bond and free the girl he loves—even if it means losing everything… and unleashing forces that could destroy every world in the Doorway.
