Shut-in gamer Edward Renke is summoned into a new world by Hyacinth, a silver-haired elf mage with far more magical potential than practical sense. Instead of waking up as a hero, a swordsman, or even a proper adventurer, Edward finds himself labeled something far more humiliating: a level one Familiar. He quickly learns that this new world runs on a system dominated by skill trees, spell tiers, and stat points. Unfortunately, Hyacinth is catastrophically bad at using any of them. She has spent most of her levels collecting pretty spells and novelty magic instead of developing the offensive power her rare affinities were clearly meant for. Armed with nothing but his gamer instincts, Edward becomes her reluctant build guide, field tactician, and emotional anchor. Together they set out to fix her build, fight Elite Class Monsters, and somehow grind enough levels to pass the Adventurer’s Exam. But Hyacinth’s “bad build” may be the key to something far bigger. As dangerous rifts tear open across the world and the feelings between Hyacinth and Edward grow too big to ignore, they must learn how to work together before everything falls apart.
