Accused of murdering his pregnant wife, Shinji thwarts a divine court and proclaims his innocence, calling into question the concept of justice itself. Given an opportunity to prove himself, Shinji embarks on a quest to summon a god as a witness of his innocence. Shinji's search takes him to a forgotten town and a church in ruin, where he manages to summon a forgotten god. However, instead of saving him, Shinji is met by a powerful entity that requires devotion from him, making him consider how far he is willing to go.
