A Cynical Otherworlder

One day, a tired, lonely college student realizes his life lacks meaning. Yuto goes on a run to distract himself. Intense side stitch pain makes him stop in a lonely street, and he finally puts all his desperation, the need to change his life, into a single shout.  Like a flash of lightning, his world changes. Summoned into a magical fantasy world, he was predestined to be one of the mythical saintly heroes, but misfortune turned him into a peasant, outcast by mistake, unable to understand the spoken or written word. This is a novel about a young man being thrown into a new world, trying to find his footing all alone. The only "weapons" he has at his disposal are his modern world knowledge, social invisibility, and a go-with-the-flow attitude. His heroic ideals constantly clash with his cynical personality and the harsh reality of a magical fantasy world. Yuto might not be the strongest. He might not have a will of steel, but that doesn't mean he will ever stop trying.
