Will Briar would do anything to save his sister. When every doctor and every desperate prayer fails, a voice answers in the silence. It offers a deal: a soul for a life. Will's sister will be cured. His soul will be placed at the peak of a mountain in another world. To get it back, he must climb. Alone in Aetherion - a world where qi flows through the earth, beasts guard forests older than civilization, and academies train cultivators to reshape reality - Will has nothing. No power. No allies. No understanding of the forces that brought him here. What he has is an engineer's mind, a cultivation manual he can barely comprehend, and a stubbornness that borders on pathological. But the world Will entered is not what it appears. The history doesn't add up. The factions are hiding something. And the higher he climbs, the heavier the price becomes. Some prices are paid in blood. Some are paid in who you become.
