In the entropic cyberpunk megacity of Honkutsu, Yooichiro, the nineteen-year-old "Demon King" assassin, is a failing containment vessel for twenty-nine entropy-feeding demons. He is kept alive only by specialized drugs. The fragile balance shatters when Chief Paul Bright, a puritanical idealist, incinerates the city's entire laboratory complex, vaporizing the suppressants and initiating Yu's 72-hour final countdown to a total, delirium-ridden biological collapse. To secure a cure, Yu infiltrates an elite college, targeting two crucial variables: Yukino, an aristocratic heir with access to a secret lab formula, and Holly, Bright’s own naive daughter, whose unique healing light holds the power to save him. The perfect plan collapses in a high-security vault. Cornered by Bright’s advanced magic nullifiers and physically consumed by internal demons, Yu is forced into an ideological collision. Holly defies her father to heal the monster, forcing Yu to accept total delirium. Bargaining with the entities in his head, Yu accepts madness to trigger a catastrophic, causal-breaking escape into the forgotten aquifers beneath the City of Devastation, leaving logic behind for the dark.
