LivNGame Global tore Allen’s family apart and ruined his life. He should’ve expected they’d lie about Ascenir too. Ascenir was advertised to be a new World, a sandbox where players could make a living. Those facing abject poverty were promised another way to live. Crushed by rent debt and with no way to make ends meet, Allen decides it’s better to face the unknown inside the game than the slow, familiar death by starvation outside. After all, Ascenir is a land of new opportunity, right? Instead, desperate players find themselves trapped inside, facing horrors and deadly encounters. Scientifically altered animals repurposed as game mobs. Amplified, brutalized natural phenomena engineered as “Game Events,” and other twisted experiments designed as game features. Allen must rely on his street smarts to survive — along with a clue about Ascenir’s origin, the last thing he has from his vanished father. Using these, he begins to unlock the dark secrets buried within LNG Global’s supposed new world. But can he live long enough to make those revelations matter? Some Reminders: - This story is heavy with action. And with that, expect a “blow-by-blow” writing style during some fight scenes. Some, or even most, of the fights may come off as “anime-esque” in terms of style and choreography. - While the story revolves around the main protagonist (Allen), it also features several side characters who are integral to the plot. Expect POV shifts here and there. - The story doesn’t start with Allen entering the game; the first chapter shows the circumstances that lead him to join. I just believe it’s important to include this to properly build up the story. (They’ll enter Ascenir in Chapter 2.)
