Beyond the front

In the waning years of the eighteenth century, amidst the distant thunder of war, Captain Alexander Dorren finds himself far from the front lines he once called home. Wounded in battle and sent to the provincial town of Cortón to recover, he begins a journal—not out of inspiration, but out of sheer desperation to escape the suffocating monotony of his new life.
