Lioran is a boy who never learned how to laugh… or cry. Emotions are foreign to him, something he has never truly understood. Throughout his life, he has only had two companions: his mother, and a mysterious spirit named Anahita who appeared inside his body when he was still a child. No one knows where she came from, or why she chose him. Lioran once asked her who she really was. But Anahita would always give the same answer: that their souls were connected, and that even she did not know the reason why. Lioran knew she was lying. Yet he never asked any further questions, because he already knew he would not receive a real answer. Anahita taught Lioran how to use Qi, a mysterious power that almost no one in the world recognizes. In a world where every swordsman and mage relies on mana, Qi is something completely unknown. Along with this power, she also gave him two strange abilities: the Copy Skill and the Shapeshifting Technique. Hunting monsters soon became his only pastime. By killing them, taking their skills, and growing stronger, he managed to suppress the dark urge to kill that had been growing inside him for seventeen long years. But one day, when he returns from a hunt, everything changes. His village is gone. Burned to ashes. And his mother… has been murdered. From that moment on, something inside Lioran finally begins to awaken. What will he do now that the only person he ever cared about is gone? Will he seek revenge? Will he destroy those responsible? Or will the world finally witness the true monster that has always been hidden inside Lioran?
