The Blood of Monsters

The world is at war, and something long since lost has been discovered. An ancient civilization held technology indistinguishable from magic long in the past, and it was lost entirely after the environment destroyed them utterly and completely. The world recovered, and tech advanced on its steady climb upwards until about the mid 1930s, when some people who can Not See any worth in people of different races and only see themselves as the true heirs of the world uncovered this lost technology and have turned its destructive potential onto the world at large. A nation built where every man is king has stood against them diligently, but is slowly being overwhelmed by the lost technology. In a final attempt to save themselves, they bring in a man who, unbeknownst to himself, holds the key to either harnessing or stopping this terrible technology.
