Book 1: Under The Mantle Teodor is not the chosen one, just a kid lost in the woods. In a world where magic is based on phrases and relationships, Teodor’s chance encounter with a desperate witch leaves him seemingly gifted a magical boon: whats yours is mine. When the magic triggers for the first time, a man dies and Teodor’s life changes forever. Imprisoned and taken to the Mantle, he is forced to train to hunt the fae, an enemy he is instructed to hate. Teodor is surrounded by guards, bullies, and humans who only see him as weak and expendable. He will survive by making unlikely allies, stealing advantages and exploiting hierarchies. Even though no one chose him, he still wants to be a hero. Wanting is not enough *** A grounded beginning that gradually reveals a much larger magical world Weak to Strong Updates every Tuesday + Friday Progression magical system based on skill acquisition (primarily weightlifting and singing) Loose deconstruction of European folklore
