Second Chance at Life- A Pokémon Isekai FanFiction

On October 13, 1995, a 27-year-old, fresh out of college, veterinarian is murdered in cold blood. When Alexander Barratt wakes up, he is in a world filled with strange creatures that have replaced the animals he spent years learning about. With a second chance at life, Xander will have to decide what kind of life he wants to lead.  This is a Pokémon Isekai fanfiction and my first attempt at writing. You can expect this story to mix personally made characters with existing canon characters, plenty of pokémon battles, a male/male romance sprinkled in, and potentially horrible writing.  This story will not contain explicit sex scenes but will contain profanity and some dark content. My plan is to post a chapter a week. I work full-time and am a dad of two, so if I can post more than once a week, I will but the plan is to post every Sunday as of right now.
