She’s a Void Larva. She’s a Girl. At the bottom of the food chain. And she’s going to evolve.
Step 1: Don't get stepped on.Step 2: Eat whoever tries to step on you.Step 3: Eat the gods who made them.
Lyra was a taxonomist who died when a specimen cabinet fell on her. She wakes up as a Void Larva, a translucent purple body the size of a pinky finger, lying in a pile of dungeon trash, with every passing creature wanting to eat her.
Her first system notification reads:
[Congrats! You're larva #12,847 today. The other 12,846 are already dead. Let's see how long you last.]
Sarcastic. Ancient. Bored. That's her system.
But soon, the system starts logging her as an anomaly. The more she eats, the faster she evolves. From a squishy larva to a six-legged crawler. From crawler to weaver—able to spin silk from shadows. Each stage unlocks branching evolutions, including one option that always appears, but she never picks:
[???]
The system says not to.
Lyra's curious.
But the system has other plans. From Lyra's perspective, a red notification appears for the first time since she was born:
[ANOMALY DETECTED. DEPLOYING ANTIVIRUS.]
And in the distance, from the dungeon layers above, something massive begins its descent.
They say you are what you eat.Lyra is about to eat everything.
