THE FAITHFUL & THE FAITHLESS is a saga novel which follows various Borzoi dogs in the mid-1910s to early 1920s Imperial to Soviet Russia. It is told across multiple volumes, each divided into two inter-connecting Story Arcs: Man’s Domain—where civil unrest slowly grows like a shadow among the dogs and men—and The Wildlands—where everything reaches a precipice as the world the dogs once knew ends in a tide of blood. Set against the twilight of Imperial Russia, its history is observed through the eyes of the Borzoi, the swiftest and noblest of hunting dogs long favored by the generals and princes of ancient times.  Vernaya Kidaievna aspires to lead the Imperial Hunt, but faces infernal challenges of her own; Geroi Taskaievich, a noble hunter, seeks to uncover the mysteries of his late father’s madness at the cost of his own nobility; Sverkai Tiranovich is a thrill-seeker whose life becomes entangled in deceit and cunning; Charodei Kidaievich possesses great power, but fears its devastation; Krasotka Sokolovna, divided between her royal heritage and newfound companions. Together, they face estranged love, heartbreak and ferocity, finding strength in their loyalty and kinship.  When a mysterious dog called Asmodei enters their midst, Vernaya is adrift with intrigue and unease as he makes her re-examine Borzoi history, and even herself. After they contend with rival packs House Moskva and House Rostov, they come to experience an unexpected threat — The Great War. Mercilessly, it shall end the Imperial Hunt, bringing destabilization to the worlds both Wild and Domestic… NOTE: This is all in its rough raw drafted state, and is set to change overtime, fraught with many errors.
