Rosetta's Last Stand [book 1 complete]

The year is 2051, and Earth is locked in a catastrophic global war. The future seems bleak until a league of food-obsessed aliens show up offering to save humanity from itself... for a price. Turns out it's not the technology, culture, or people who make Earth special - it's the food. And the Kithari are willing to do just about anything to preserve the unique flavors of their new favorite planet. 34 years later, Rose - a produce clerk who loves to cook - receives a phone call that shatters her quiet life, sending her to follow a trail of secrets into outer space as she searches for the truth about a family she's never known. It's not easy leaving home, but once she's out the door she finds herself swept into an irresistible mélange of alien peoples and surreal new places, startling flavors and the kinds of friendships that are worth risking everything for. At the end of the journey, she faces two questions. Can she and her allies unite the galaxy before her grandmother launches an interstellar war, and what will they serve for dinner? Two parts interstellar road trip and one part cookbook - with a generous dash of mystery, found family, and sapphic romance thrown in - Rosetta's Last Stand is a sci-fi romp for anyone who's longed to eat dinner while gazing at an alien moon.
