Millions of years in the future, in a world where humanity’s legacy is a distant memory, a consciousness awakens inside a newly constructed service droid. Created by three enigmatic inventors—whose motives remain unclear—the droid has no memories of a previous life. It knows only that it exists and that it has a purpose to fulfill, though what that purpose is remains a mystery. As the droid explores its abilities, it discovers a remarkable gift: the power to replicate its consciousness into other dormant droid shells scattered throughout the inventors’ facility. Each new copy assumes a specialized role—a combat droid built for defense, a medical bot engineered to heal and sustain life, and a diplomacy bot designed to navigate complex social interactions.
