Thorn's Edge: A System Apocalypse LitRPG

When the System apocalypse hit, Olivia Thorne had one priority: protect her dogs.  Olivia ignored the System's messages until the giant, mana-crazed squirrels attacked her dog. Armed with the shovel she'd been using to dig up her bougainvillea, she fought back. Sure, she'd never killed a thing in her life, but anything going for her dogs was gonna have to go through her first.  Next thing Olivia knows, she's been dumped into a challenge scenario, elderly dog in tow. Now she's fighting monsters, making friends, and trying to keep everyone alive while the creepy Santa Claus in her brain offers her quests, classes, and abilities. And loot. Lots and lots of loot. The System insists this is a rescue. Okay, 7.9 billion people might die, but the Multiverse promises it'll save the whales. Olivia doesn’t know what to think. It’s the end of the world, but her oldest dog is acting like a puppy, her bougainvillea is killing her enemies, and with every passing day, she’s a little more OP. Thorn's Edge is a character-driven System Apocalypse/LitRPG series about surviving and thriving at the end of the world. What to expect: – System Apocalypse / LitRPG – Dogs. Soul-bonded, loyal, plot-relevant dogs. Absolutely no dog death.– A reluctant hero who becomes extremely OP, which she finds deeply alarming– Dry humor in the midst of objectively terrible circumstances– Not grimdark. Not even remotely close to grimdark. But that said, it is an apocalypse. And people are people. Hope is never lost, but sometimes things look bleak. Content warnings: There's profanity, but not crazy amounts of it. There's violence, but it's not particularly graphic or gory. There's sensitive content, especially if you consider references to mental illness, death, and grief to be sensitive, but it's treated sensitively.
