I was supposed to plant a flag, erase a few primitive tribes, and win a stupid bet. Simple. Then the volcano woke up. The "savages" started praying to me. My conscience—that faulty sensor I'd ignored for years—started screaming. And suddenly I was herding heretics, negotiating with giant lizards, and trying to stop a war between people who should have been working together. Protocol said: complete the mission. My gut said: fix this mess. Now I'm a leader, a diplomat, and—damn it—a hero. The one thing I never planned to be.
