Lu Li woke up to find himself transported into a novel he had once read, only to discover he had become the wealthy antagonist within it. Bound to a system that rewarded him for surviving each plot segment, he resolved to play it safe and develop his character until the grand finale. To his surprise, everyone targeted him, directing the protagonist's hatred his way. To survive safely, he knew he had to defeat the protagonist.
