The GOAT Pub [Cozy litRPG]
by spirogetto
ComedySlice of LifeFantasyLitRPGProgressionKingdom BuildingComedySlice of Life After getting almost hit by a car and died of heart attack, Tryn Lyqr gets a new life in Shiftland. Where he opens a pub with a divine goat that has orange horns. Follows a cozy, slice-of-life story with low stakes and building community that stays.
When Tryn Lyqr drops dead on a perfectly ordinary afternoon and wakes up in another world, the god responsible gives him one instruction: protect my son. The son turns out to be a goat with divine rum, useful opinions, and a principled objection to doing anything quickly.
Rather than embark on the adventure he was presumably sent here for, Tryn takes stock of his situation — abandoned castle, eighty barrels of extraordinary rum, a road with passing merchants — and opens a pub.
What to expect:
- Cozy LitRPG — pub-building as core progression
- Dry British deadpan comedy (Wodehouse in a fantasy castle)
- System mechanics in the background, never the focus
- Large loveable cast, assembled slowly
- A divine goat with the work ethic of a decorative cushion
- Ghost girl, goblin poet, rum-making sheep, two very enthusiastic dogs
- Wolf-clearing, horse-buying, bread-theft investigations
- No dark arcs, no tragedy, no world-ending stakes
- Beware of Chicken and Legends & Lattes readers, welcome home.
- Chapters in Fri - Sat - Sun - Wed
