Io's rather smart when it comes to tinkering with electronics, or solving complex equations. Until her sudden and impromptu departure from her previous home, the barren planet creatively named Earth-3, she was multiple years ahead of her peers in all of her studies, though she was only average when it came to athletics. A mishap during her travels takes her to a magical world like that of one of her virtual reality games. Actually, she's pretty sure it is a video game, but everything feels so real she's not sure how it's possible. When she accidentally releases a dark god, that's when she really starts to wonder if there's any way she can log out.
