In 2025, in the quiet streets of Birnin Kebbi, Chiroma is just another secondary school student preparing for his WAEC exams. His life is ordinary — family, school, small routines that feel permanent. Until one afternoon, he notices something at a murder scene that no one else can see. Thin strips of colored light lingering in the air. What begins as a strange sight slowly turns into something deeper. Reality doesn’t feel as solid as it used to. The air shifts around him. Shadows stretch wrong. And the world he thought was limited to three dimensions begins to fracture at the edges. Chiroma doesn’t understand what he has awakened — or what has awakened to him. There are forces that move beneath the visible world. Some cultivate power called ILIMI while Others steal it. And now, something has noticed him. In a city that sleeps unaware, Chiroma is standing at the threshold of a hidden layer of existence — one that could either consume him… or reshape him entirely.
