Rimebound: The Frozen Equation [Post-Apoc Progression Sci-Fi]

Six years ago, ships appeared in the sky, and the world did not survive it. Monsters tore through cities, leaving them in ruins. Governments fell apart, and warlords took over. A few people discovered new powers, but those abilities are slowly destroying them from within.Jin has the power to pull heat from living things. When he reaches out, fires die, and even the largest creatures collapse as he drains their warmth. On paper, he is unstoppable. But each time he uses his power, he loses something he can never recover. It is not his strength or his years. It is himself. The faces of people he loved fade away. Whole years disappear overnight. Something inside him decides what to take, and it is getting better at it. One day, he might wake up and not remember why he keeps fighting. He does not know how much time he has left before that happens. He cannot afford to stop. People are counting on him, and there are answers out there worth dying for. Beneath the turmoil of the last six years, there are questions no one has asked. Where did the monsters actually come from? Why did only certain people get these powers? Who caused the world to fall apart, and what are they still waiting for?The apocalypse was no accident. The closer Jin gets to the truth, the less of him remains to find it.-----New chapters will drop every Tuesday (4 PM ET) and Thursday (4 PM ET)! PS: ET = Eastern TIme-----© Ravynlores171, 2026.
