For most of her life, Sierra resented her extraordinarily high affinity for divine magic. Or rather, she resented the pressure that came with it. Others might see a gift, but she saw a shackle. A burden made worse, given she’s capable of a dangerous self-resurrection spell, which isn’t as pleasant as it initially seemed. Fearing her fate ends with her as another embittered instrument meant to serve the world’s power-hungry, she’s hidden herself behind a life of alchemy instead, studying in the company of her closest friend, Florine. But after a mysterious witch who goes by Ria effortlessly thwarts what seems to be an assassination attempt designed to end Sierra’s existence permanently—the foundation of the low-profile life she thought she’d built shows its cracks. Though her motives remain unclear, Ria's prowess as a mage proves indispensable for navigating the thorny path Sierra now finds herself on. And the more the nascent healer learns, the more she wonders if maybe she never had an issue devoting her power to others. She just needed some reassurance first. Something that might be within reach. (All the images are drawn by me)
