In a forgotten chamber deep beneath an ancient ruin, archaeologists uncover a living infant elf, sealed for centuries in a radiant sarcophagus that shielded him from time. Raised in quiet seclusion by the human family who found him, Meleek grows up as the only elf in a modern world that marvels at and fears him. His pointed ears mark him as forever apart, his grace a constant reminder of the divide. Homeschooled and protected from the public, he becomes a gentle media curiosity—appearing on talk shows to speak softly about belonging, while hiding his deep sense of isolation. Surrounded by fierce adoptive love and the teasing bond of his human sister—born months after his discovery—Meleek yearns for friendship, acceptance, and a love that sees beyond his differences. As he enters adulthood, ancient forces long hidden begin to circle, drawing him into a secret war. Buried truths unravel: Why was he preserved alone? Is he truly the last? When those closest to him conceal long-held secrets, Meleek must find his place before the storm engulfs them all. A tender coming-of-age tale of identity and family, Meleek follows one extraordinary young man learning that some differences run deeper than appearance—and that the greatest battles are for the hearts we call home.
