Raid bosses are not supposed to adapt. They are not supposed to remember. And they certainly aren’t supposed to be casting abilities that will permanently kill raiders. Zariel was moments away from clearing the newest raid when he was abruptly pulled into an encounter that shouldn’t exist. Knowing the odds, he throws himself into the path of oblivion in a desperate effort to tank it. He returns marked by oblivion, only to discover that his guild was never given the credit they deserved and fell apart. Now, he raids with seven strangers he didn't choose, against bosses that remember his name, in raids that take more than they give. Deaths start to cost XP. Bosses start to leave their raids. The raids are evolving. Zariel and his raid team must do the same. What to expect: - 3 chapters a week M/W/F - 2k words per chapter (some will run long) - An MMO world where raid mechanics are reality (no VR, no Earth, no log-outs) - Raid-focused progression with real consequences.
