Seventy years ago, the continent of Levelas was struck by the Tormenta, a storm of such proportions it severed its people's connection to the world at large and the very gods, yet was merely the first of five great Catastrophes that would turn it into a wasteland of uncontrollable mutation, disease, and otherworldly monstrosities. Over sixty years ago, salvation would rise in the shape of a sky piercing tower, Cilifus, home not only to many of the horrors that haunted the continent but also the unearthly powers necessary to oppose them. And little over a month ago, Francies, a hunter by trade and a Long Ear, children of the divine blessed with the traits of hares, received an Invitation, an unholy welcome to the Tower and the rank of its almighty Guests. Victim to a purposeless existence, squirming under the thumb of a tyrant every bit as cruel as he is invincible, why not simply obey this fate set in stone and enjoy its spoils? Little does he know, the Tower is a cruel mistress, and it's riches are not so freely given.
