"Heaven awaits those who reach." Seventy years ago, the continent of Levelas was struck by the Tormenta, a storm that severed it from the world at large and its gods. What ensued was an age of disease, mutation, and otherworldly abominations. One month ago Francies, hunter of the Long Ear Tribe and the local tyrant's toy, received an Invitation. This unholy welcome to the monument at the center of it all, Cilifus, is just the opportunity he needed; he departs without looking back, hungry for the spoils this new life could bring. Little does he know, Cilifus does not give without taking. His soul has been marked with a madness mortals are ill suited to grasp, but eager to exploit. Warriors and scholars, nobles and peasants, monsters both old and new flock to Cilifus. One and all, they become pieces to a game few understand, with an ultimate prize none can reject. Will Francies become another victim to the bloodshed under its shadow? And why, despite his modest ambitions, is he beckoned towards its grandiose finale? Only at the top will those answers be found. Heaven in Cilifus is a Dark Fantasy novel about despair and the end. Light LitRPG. "Levels," but no stats. Complicated relationships and polycules rather than harem. General content warnings on the first chapter. Schedule: One chapter every four weekdays.
