“I am Gilead du Carbennic, Knight of the Grail! Beleaguerest no more that girl, or I shall smite thee down!” Gilead du Carbennic was born to be a weapon. But not just any weapon; a Knight of the Round Table, slaying monsters and villains in the name of King Arthur. When Gilead dies an unheroic death, though, there is no awaiting afterlife.Instead, the dishonored knight awakens in the world of Scrapyard, a strange pocket universe made of shards of other realities, where civilization holds on by a thread and violence is the order of the day. After a vision from Gilead’s long-dead lover commands the death of The Old Man in the Tower, Scrapyard’s creator, Gilead must decide: gather allies, make war upon an unkillable demigod, and risk another death? Or find out what it’s like living a life with more to it than just the next thing to kill… Also posted on Scribblehub! Updates every Friday. Cover art by @royale on bluesky.
