Error in the Divine Lattice

Error in the Divine Lattice

by WTE

FantasyHigh FantasyLitRPGProgressionSci-fi

"Deletion in progress." The gold has been looted, the glory claimed, and the high-rankers have long since vanished from the dungeon’s depths. Left behind in the settling dust is Han Si-woo, a low-level cleaner knee-deep in the wreckage of a cleared floor. To the world, this is refuse. To the System, it is data to be purged. But as Si-woo narrows his eyes, the rigid geometry of the Divine Lattice begins to flicker. He reaches for his hip, the metallic clack of an Extraction Module locking into his mechanical subspace rig echoing through the silence. [Extraction successful: Essence of the Holy Sword acquired.] [Scanning scheduled-to-be-deleted data...] The System claims absolute perfection. It claims an error-free world. But even the most divine machine has a glitch—and the one truth it tried to erase is now humming safely inside a cleaner’s modular pack.
