The Reign Cycle- Defender of Men

Alexandros, by the name had taken, how long since vowed to be a Defender of Men.  To serve in the Ranks of the Armies of Reign as one of their countless heroes, to be remembered by all as a great, powerful figure. Only problem? Though true mortals, those without divine blood could join Reign Academy, and he had in fact gotten it, it was damn near impossible to become anything more than a servant to a real Hero... limits of blood were ever present.  Driven to matter, Alexandros dedicates himself to the path of Magic, beyond just what was taught. Through sheer, potent effort, the boy dedicates himself to rising to heights never seen in mortals before. Be it through study, through training or more, he vows to matter...  And by all of the gods... he would do just that.  And then there was Hera, Queen of the Gods, filled with endless regrets and remorse but no way to make amends. At least not until a run in with the young Alexandros warms her heart, changing the trajectory of her life, and all of the world... in way not even the Fates could have foreseen, for what would immortals know of the power of humanity's greatest gift... that of empathy.
