At the Edge of

In a time beyond simple comprehension, in so many years you could never count. A single choice must be made. This is a short story set in the distant future as a descendant of humanity chooses how to fulfill their civilization's wishes. It is an original work and while it is laced in poetic language which may resist comprehension on first reading, I believe it to offer multiple insights into a variety of topics if given the chance. Each choice of words and the incompleteness of the title was done so explicitly to sell the grandeur of the story's message. It is philosophical in nature, wrapped firmly in the arms of speculative, near-fantasy science fiction. I may be adding anthology-based additions in the future that portray different aspects of the late-future civilization from different perspectives, but this was initially intended as a one-off experimentation of philosophical thought coded with poetry before I found myself entangled in the idea of my work with it.
