Each part is structured to follow the general process of healing from trauma (as I have experienced it): Crisis, Aftermath, Changing Direction, Mending, New Foundations, and Rebuilding. When we experience something traumatic in our lives, our world shrinks down to the bare essentials so that we can focus on survival. The more we heal, the more our world opens up again. I’ve written this story in the same way. Each part builds off of each other, allowing you to experience the characters and world of the story expand and grow over time.
