Aboard the Santa María, Earth's last survivors live inside The Novus—a fantasy VR MMORPG training them for what's yet to come.
For Alan Warden, this was paradise—just endless adventures with the beautiful Astrid Bradford by his side—until his connection to the system is severed.
Five Novus years later, Astrid is one of the strongest players, chasing glory to fill the void he left behind. Then the glitches strike, bringing corrupted monsters, bosses defying their program, and overall chaos engulfing the system—it somehow begins the moment Alan logs back in.
Now as the weakest User in The Novus, he has no choice but to rely on a newfound skill: befriending and training NPCs.
In a utopia tearing itself apart, Alan and Astrid's reunion might be the only thing that can fix it.
++ This is a reboot of "My Ex-Girlfriend is the Strongest Guild Master and I'm the Weakest!" +++ Reworked protagonist, tighter pacing, no filler, and this time, the threat starts on page one.
