Engineered in a lab to serve as the Exarch's slave, Rhone spends his life scrubbing the bottom of a tower-sized vat. The best end that he and his cleaning crew can hope for is a fatal slip or a terminal infection from irradiated, eldritch sludge. Until two impossible things happen...  First, Rhone’s mentor invites him to join a tribe that will strike back at the Exarch.
