Billy Brownbag wakes up face-down in a puddle with a bag on his head, a poison in his veins, and a HUD flickering to life in his vision telling him his Analysis stat is at -2. He doesn't know why snake-faced men threw him out of a moving car. He doesn't know why he can suddenly calculate exact win probabilities for basketball games in real-time. And he definitely doesn't know why a mysterious deck of cards in his hoodie pocket just identified itself as a Legendary quest item left by his missing father. What he does know: his dad — the greatest underground sports predictor the city of Fanhattan has ever seen — has vanished. His two sisters are scattered and hunted. And a shadowy criminal organization called the Syndicate is fixing the outcomes of every game, fight, and election in the city using stolen probability manipulation abilities.
