by Samuel Groshans
The Empire of Emberthain is changing. A new regime promises order, reform, and prosperity - but the decisions shaping the Empire are made far from the streets that will suffer their consequences. In the shadows of the Glittering City, Sahvra fights to protect a fragile refuge for those the Empire would rather forget. Registration laws tighten. Corruption spreads quietly through the halls of power. And the system meant to bring order begins to reveal its true cost. Meanwhile, those in power believe they are saving the Empire. A character-driven dark fantasy about politics, power, and the price of control. New chapters Tuesdays and Fridays.
