The Blackwell Foundation: PARALLAX

“When all else fails, think Blackwell. The Blackwell Foundation – Humanity’s problems, our solutions.” The twins, Tabitha and Sebastian Hale, were raised from birth to be part of the Blackwell Foundation’s fight for control over a chaotic, supernatural world. Their mother, Eleanor Hale, Advisory Board Member-01 of Blackwell’s Advisory Board, wanted nothing more than to raise an heir to her seat. After a childhood of cruelty and abusive, militaristic training, being played against one another and driven apart, one twin was left seeking validation, while the other sought freedom. Being unable to find that in one another, the siblings went their separate ways. Wanting nothing more than to meet her mother’s impossible expectations, Tabitha followed in her footsteps, becoming a field agent for Blackwell’s Investigation Bureau, chasing paranormal leads around the US with her partner, Agent Isaac Harris. And wanting nothing more than to get away from those same expectations, Sebastian finished his education, and made the mistake of becoming the director of Blackwell’s Archive VII, where he quickly became bored of filing away the research into discoveries made by people like his sister. Four years of the young man’s life slipped by like that, and it seemed like the rest might, too, until Lord Tredici, Advisory Board Member-05, appeared in Sebastian’s archive, bringing news of an incident his sister was involved in. As things quickly spiral out of control, both twins discover that the world they had dipped their toes into was not a puddle, or a well, but a fathomless ocean. Follow the Hale twins’ tale as the mysteries and wonder of the Blackwell Foundation unfold through their dual points of view. You can probably tell from this "synopsis" that I'm not the most succinct writer, but I'm working on it. Expect a bit of a slow burn here. Chapters on Mondays and Thursdays.
