Annotation The world of Eirdall is suffocating beneath a shroud of ash. Here, a crown is not a symbol of power but a parasite, burrowing into flesh and drinking life. Seven crowns—seven curses—bind humanity in chains. The air tastes of copper, and magic has decayed into rot from which there is no escape.
