The Shadow of the Moon casts it's gaze The story begins with a brief bitter reunion at the Academy. Zephyr and his companion Emma find themselves snubbed by childhood friends Joshua and Wendy, who have been selected for the prestigious Sun Chariot unit filled with mythical heroes, gods and those shaping the status quo. While Joshua plays the part of the "chosen hero," Zephyr and ten other "misfits" are relegated to mysterious black uniforms. Turns out their instructor is revealed to be Princess Rem Alexandrite Starfield, the "Black Dog"—a legendary, brutal commander who bypasses the classroom and drops them directly into a live-fire survival zone in order to shape them into the perfect comrades. However.... Things are never as we intend them until it's all over.
