Lingling has always been afraid of loving too deeply, of losing herself in it. Jun is always waiting for something that he can’t quite explain, as if he is searching for a feeling that he has known before. When they meet at university, there isn’t a spark of fireworks, only a sense of quiet, unsettling familiarity. As they draw closer, the feeling of love is less like the start of something new and more like something that is left unfinished. Alongside Ren and Mei, they start to wonder: why does something so ordinary feel like it’s happened before, and why does it feel so fragile?
