You cannot build a heaven without remembering the taste of hell. After a grueling, century-long calibration to atone for his own cruel systems, the Prime has shed his obsidian form. The arrival of a battered lifeboat filled with traumatized refugees signals the beginning of a multiversal siege. Drawn to the glow of their sanctuary, apex predators are closing in. To survive brutalist armadas powered by crushed trauma, ancient bureaucrats farming solar systems for soul-energy, and a massive cosmic eraser consuming matter and meaning, standard warfare will not suffice. To save billions of refugees from cosmic erasure, the Board must look past cold logic and controlled violence. The Sufferer-King must broadcast the absolute hunger of his origin to jam the refineries of the gods. The stakes are infinite. And the Gambler is still at the table.
