The Vtuber Next Door

This is a story about Coby Goldstein, a boy struggling through life. Overweight and raised by a single mother, he has endured constant hardship. His classmates relentlessly mock him for his appearance and background, leaving him isolated and ashamed. To ease his mother’s burden, Coby secretly works part time at a fast-food restaurant. His mother, exhausted from her job at an insurance company, often comes home late, worn down and drunk, barely holding herself together. Coby’s life feels like an endless cycle of ridicule, exhaustion, and quiet sacrifice. Then one night, EVERYTHING changes. He discovers that his favorite VTuber lives right next door, and that single revelation becomes the turning point that begins to reshape his world.
