by Yan Domov
Herman is not a hero. He is just an old scientist who has grown weary of the post apocalyptic chaos in the world. When death finally comes, he welcomes it without fear, expecting a quiet afterlife and the simple joy of starting over in a new world. Fishing, crafting, building, is what he expects. Instead, he is greeted by a chaotic world not so dissimilar than his own, and a System that feels too smooth, too convenient, and just a little too eager to do the work for him. During his journey, Herman slowly realizes that something about this new existence does not sit right with him. He does not want effortless success, but for his achievements to have a real meaning! So while others might accept what they are given, Herman begins to question everything. The System, the rules, and the path laid out before him. Because if every victory is effortless, then it is no victory at all. SCHEDULE: One chapter a day until 10 April. Then there will be 1 chap on 13th, 15th, 17th and 20th April. After that I will post a new updated schedule.
