A coin that talks. Leaves when bored. And has never needed anyone. Coin is old. Older than the empires that stamped Coin's face. Coin tilts probability, checks out of existence when things get dull, and has spent millennia treating the world like a game Coin is winning. Then the game breaks. The system inside Coin is starving. The tilt is burning out. The exit stops working. And the fix requires the one thing Coin has never bothered with in five thousand years of existence. Other people. Coin thinks the problem is power. Coin is wrong. Coin is a juvenile system-grade entity that has never come online — and the keys have been walking past on two legs for five thousand years while Coin was too busy trolling to notice Dark progression fantasy. Multi-POV. Slow burn. A protagonist you can flip. Updates M/W/F
