Kill the cult. Get his sister's corpse back. The police were too chicken to do their actual jobs, so Adam, head of the biggest, baddest gang in modern-day Michigan, stepped up to the plate. But his horrid luck struck at the worst possible time—demons from the underground blew up the world right before he pulled the trigger. Now, Earth's kicked the bucket. Its bones got swallowed up by the Sun dyed black. It's a madhouse down there: a wasteland of twisting dungeons and hellish magic, ruled by demons hellbent on snuffing out the last humans. But, so what? Adam survived the end. He kept his gangster wits and grits. He's loaded up with a suite of miracle cybertech from a System meant to stop the apocalypse in the first place. The lady overseeing that thing called him humanity's last hero against the demons—real clown talk. It’s all good though. Adam's not the soul to turn down a gift rolled on a red carpet. He'll grind out every one of the suite's augs and claw his way across the wasteland in pursuit of that cult’s sick old guru, who the lady revealed was in bed with the demons from the beginning. And if Adam saves his fellow man along the way, or one of the System's old heroes...well, that's not a terrible bonus, hey?
