Cult of the Unknown Plane

The floating world of Trivuria is shaken by the arrival of the Ark: an abandoned city of an alien civilization. Inside is a cathedral that gives Trivurians apocalyptic visions, ones in which a world just like their own is swallowed up by the heavens. Most Trivurians interpret it as a warning. But some Trivurians come away with a different interpretation. Ascensionism, a fundamentalist religion which believes it is in fact God's will that Trivuria should ascend into the heavens, spreads like wildfire through the urban centers of Trivuria. Its adherents are small in number, but they will do anything to ensure that their people seize their divine right to reach the fabled Unknown Plane. As Trivuria lurches towards fate, a young Ascensionist named Rialto finds himself at the center of the religious schism that is tearing apart his world. His choices will have profound consequences for his church, his civilization, and the people that he loves.
