In an Empire where faith is law, God warriors are chosen to speak and execute the will of the holy power.Eileen, a Seer, has never been consistent. Her visions have always been deemed unreliable sometimes useless. When she is chosen to preside over the yearly memorial and wear the sacred Crown of Thorns, the ritual erupts into catastrophe. Before the Emperor and the gathered Sentinels, her prophecy breaks tradition and delivers a warning. A demonic figure rises in her vision. The Empire will burn. And God does not answer. To save the Empire, she must remain faithful. To uncover the truth, she may have to betray everything. Including God.
