Steelrunners: Gigantic, locomotive-like vehicles considered to be the only safe means of transport across the frozen wasteland of Oliida. Albert Elles, a Tank Commander fighting on the Western Front, suffers an attack that leaves him mangled and mentally scarred. Elles, slowly navigating his new position as Hangar Captain, becomes acquainted with his motley crewmates, including a goblin, a witch, a sentient fox, and many others. But, simply having a new lease on life is not Albert's happily-ever-after.  When a conspiracy surrounding the government's weaponization of an ancient demonic artifact with the power to destroy cities is unearthed, Albert and his new friends must retaliate or risk losing what's left of their already broken world. With the help of a pair of archaeologists, the Black Glacier's crew begins to unravel the clues leading to the artifact, ultimately culminating in a violent head-on showdown against the world government and their seemingly unstoppable might.
